Don Keller is a partner in the Bricker & Eckler LLP employment and labor group. He practices private and public sector labor relations, equal employment opportunity, and general employment and labor law, emphasizing collective bargaining, arbitration, defense of wrongful discharge and all forms of employment discrimination litigation. He has extensive experience in arbitration and litigation of labor and employment disputes in state and federal courts and before state and federal administrative enforcement agencies.

Representative Experience

  • Representation of insurers doing business in Ohio in race discrimination actions involving fair housing agencies and allegations of discriminatory denial of insurance coverage

  • Practices in federal and state trial courts and courts of appeals; United States and Ohio Supreme Courts; Ohio Civil Rights Commission; Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; Wage and Hour Division; National Labor Relations Board; Ohio State Employment Relations Board

  • Lead trial counsel in employment discrimination litigation, including disability, age, race and sex discrimination, retaliation and hostile work environment; housing discrimination; ERISA plan litigation; Family and Medical Leave Act; Fair Labor Standards Act; WARN Act; wrongful discharge; non-compete agreements and trade secret enforcement and violations

  • Outside counsel to numerous private and public employers on traditional labor issues, arbitration and collective bargaining

  • Served as chief in-house labor counsel for City of Columbus, Ohio 1977-1988, and as outside labor counsel
