Susan Greenberger is a partner in the
Bricker & Eckler education group and practices education law and mental retardation/developmental disabilities (MR/DD) law, with emphasis on school district sponsored community schools; education and MR/DD policy development; creation and representation of school and other public consortia; school finance; development and negotiation of alternative sources of revenue (e.g., beverage contracts, advertisement agreements, leases of public property for erection of telecommunications towers); issues involving First Amendment (speech and religion); contracts (including contracts with providers of MR/DD services); Medicaid waiver programs; and litigation.

Assists school districts throughout Ohio in the establishment and oversight of district sponsored community schools Member of litigation team that successfully challenged the constitutionality of Ohio's school funding laws -- DeRolph v. State
Member of litigation team that successfully defended county boards of MR/DD against challenge to boards' oversight of Medicaid service providers through locally-negotiated service contracts -- Thompson v. Hayes
