Terrence O'Donnell is a member of the Bricker & Eckler LLP governmental relations and regulatory practice group. He practices government relations, focusing on public policy, regulatory compliance, legislative and administrative affairs, and ethics and election law.

Representative Experience

  • Mortgage Lending. Served on contract basis as Administrative Hearing Officer for State of Ohio, Division of Financial Institutions, hearing appeals in mortgage licensure cases and making recommendations to superintendent; Co-authored seminal "compliance manual" for mortgage lenders, servicers, underwriters, originators, appraisers, title agents, investors, and borrowers after passage of Ohio Senate Bill 185, which affected virtually every component of a mortgage transaction in the state of Ohio

  • Advanced Energy. Represents trade groups, companies, universities, and nonprofits before the General Assembly and state executive agencies with focus on advanced energy and technologies such as solar power, wind power, and other alternative energy; builds coalitions to impact policies and projects at the Ohio Governor's Office, the Ohio Department of Development and Third Frontier Commission; also assists advanced energy companies develop finance strategies

  • Represents a major national brewer, a medical association, and construction interests before the Ohio General Assembly and state executive agencies to help advance their policy interests

  • Represents companies seeking to provide services to the State of Ohio and its political subdivisions. Areas of focus include information technology, disaster relief, and construction.

  • Represents candidates, political action committees, political parties and school districts in matters before Boards of Election, Ohio Elections Commission and Ohio Ethics Commission

  • Served as a law clerk for the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary
