Alan Ross is a partner in the Bricker & Eckler litigation group and the technology and intellectual property groups and is located in the Cleveland office. His practice emphasizes intellectual property – litigation, trial, acquisition, and licensing, internet law, e-discovery, and antitrust and technology-related litigation. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and is admitted to the bars of Ohio and New York.

Representative Experience

  • Represents businesses in patent infringement and trade secret litigation involving diverse technologies, including telecommunications testing, plastic film, computer monitors, bar code scanners, electrophoresis equipment, automated video inspection, electroporation technology, carbon infused plastics, vacuum cleaners, gyratory compactors, color reproduction equipment, control valves, hydrostatic transmissions, time release tablets, collateral insurance tracking, bridge weigh-in-motion technology, golf clubs, golf ball covers, and investment casting

  • Represents businesses in computer, copyright and trademark litigation, including numerous computer, architectural, and industrial design copyright infringement cases and brand name trademark disputes

  • Represents businesses in proceedings before the US PTO, patent prosecution in the mechanical and chemical arts, domain name disputes, and antitrust, including merger and grand jury investigations and civil and criminal litigation

  • Counsels and appears on behalf of numerous US and international businesses in a variety of intellectual property matters
