Legislative Advocacy and Drafting Services
Bricker & Eckler provides direct lobbying assistance to a variety of corporate and trade association clients. The firm assists clients in developing policy positions and strategies to secure the passage, amendment or defeat of legislative proposals. Additionally, our attorneys prepare clients to communicate effectively with legislators on a wide variety of public policy matters. Long established relationships with senators and representatives on both sides of the aisle in the General Assembly and with the executive branch strengthen the effectiveness of Bricker & Eckler's lobbying efforts.

Legal Advice
Clients for whom Bricker & Eckler provides lobbying and monitoring services are also provided legal advice. The firm has over 120 attorneys practicing in the fields of corporate, workers' compensation, health care, insurance, banking, environmental, public finance, trusts and estates, litigation, education, technology and intellectual property law, employment and labor, sports and entertainment, OSHA, real estate, taxation, and utilities law. Government Relations attorneys call upon the experience of these colleagues to analyze draft bills and amendments and to anticipate how regulatory agencies and courts will implement or interpret such legislation. With this knowledge, the firm is able to provide alternative bill or amendment language and advice to clients as well as legislators and legislative staff.

Monitoring Services
Bricker & Eckler LLP provides legislative monitoring services to clients who are concerned how legislation could affect their business. After familiarizing themselves with the clients' business activities, we daily monitor floor, committee and caucus activities related by bill and amendments which could affect our clients. The Government Relations attorneys prepare regular legislative reports for trade association, corporate and other clients.

Enhancing a Client’s Presence in Columbus
