H.B. 690 - Minimum Wage Implementation
Sponsored by Representative Bill Seitz( R-Cincinnati)

Implements Section 34a, Article II, of the Constitution of the State of Ohio and declares an emergency.

H.B. 487 - Construction Contracts
Sponsored by Representative Christopher Widener (R-Springfield)

Specifies that an owner, part owner, or lessee of real property, with respect to a home construction contract, must record a notice of commencement only if required by a lending institution, stipulates that a notice of commencement for a home construction contract expires six years after it is recorded, and permits court costs and reasonable attorney fees to be included in damages an owner may recover from a lienholder who refuses to release the lien after the owner makes full payment and stipulates for all types of liens that a mortgage is considered filed first if a mortgage and notice of commencement are filed on the same day.

Authorizes a nonrefundable tax credit for rehabilitating a historic building.

H.B. 100 - Solid Waste Districts
Sponsored by Representative Mary Taylor (R-Uniontown)

Authorizes a solid waste management district to exempt automotive shredder residue from the district's generation fee, extends the moratorium on the issuance of licenses for new construction and demolition debris facilities, and creates an exemption to the moratorium under certain circumstances.

H.B. 80 - Public Improvement Contract

Prohibits a state agency from awarding a public improvement contract unless its terms require the contractor to participate in a specified drug-free workplace program.
