Bankruptcy Reorganization & Liquidation

Attorneys in our creditors' rights and bankruptcy group have a broad range of experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, creditors committees, trustees, equipment lessors, landlords, utilities, insurance companies, debtors and debtors-in-possession in reorganization and liquidation bankruptcy cases. In Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings we have served as counsel for post-petition lenders, purchasers of assets, investors, boards of directors and officers.

Members of the practice group have appeared on behalf of clients in bankruptcy courts throughout Ohio and in major bankruptcy jurisdictions including Delaware, New York, Illinois, Michigan and Florida.

One of the partners in the practice group is a long-standing Chapter 7 panel trustee member and has been involved in countless liquidation proceedings and related litigation.

The experience of the creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice group is further complemented by the expertise of attorneys in Bricker & Eckler LLP's various non-insolvency practice areas, including the firm's business law, commercial mortgage lending, employment, environmental, health care, litigation, and tax, trusts, and estates practice groups.
