Financial Institutions

Attorneys in Bricker & Eckler's financial institutions practice have served as primary counsel in several financial institution acquisitions or dispositions in the last decade. These include the representation of County Savings Bank in its acquisition by BancFirst Ohio Corporation and the subsequent merger of equals between BancFirst Ohio Corporation and UNB Corp., resulting in the creation of Unizan.

Recently our resources in this area have been augmented with the addition of Jeff Smith, who has made a career of financial institution mergers and acquisitions over the past 30 years. Jeff and our other lawyers address the issues which are of unique importance to financial institution acquisitions and dispositions.
