Bricker & Eckler has helped companies and political subdivisions on financial matters for more than 50 years. Times have changed, but with the creation of the Green Strategies Group, we have widened the span of our services to fit with our clients’ needs in today’s world. Our attorneys can help you utilize the right financing tools to make advanced energy projects—such as wind farms and solar arrays—a reality.

Specifically relating to green issues, we assist with the following:

  • Financing public and private projects through the sale of bonds or other securities.

  • Maximizing tax advantages for advanced energy projects.

  • Helping companies understand the value of Renewable Energy Credits (“REC”) during project formation and represent companies trading in the REC market.

  • Helping companies obtain Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (“tax credit bonds”) at a 0% interest rate in order to explore advanced and renewable energy technologies.

  • Helping companies obtain private purpose bond financings, such as industrial development bonds, taxable floating rate note programs and solid waste disposal bonds.
