A contribution to the community must be more than a vague aspiration. With strong skills and a dedicated commitment, Bricker & Eckler attorneys transform these desires and ideas into reality by providing first-class pro bono service to those who need it most.

Bricker’s culture promotes and embraces the need to conduct work for charitable, civic and community organizations. We greet pro bono matters with diligence and enthusiasm, and by giving our attorneys billable hour credit for these activities, they are respected with the same value and credibility as our other work.

Unlike other firms, however, pro bono activity at Bricker & Eckler does not trickle down through the system. Attorneys at all levels, including partners, willingly engage in these matters and are active in their volunteer commitments.

In addition to our pro bono tax advice and avid involvement in the Landlord Tenant Project to combat foreclosure and eviction cases, several of our partners are among the founders and operators of church-affiliated legal clinics that provide free counsel to those in need. With our creation of the Disaster Manual, a legal guide for managing natural disaster situations, we have also helped prepare lawyers across Ohio for matters they may face in the wake of a crisis.

Through further recognition of who is in need and where help is required, Bricker & Eckler LLP attorneys will connect their genuine desire to conduct pro bono work with worthy projects and deserving people.
