Government Relations Insurance
Miranda Motter is a member of the Bricker & Eckler LLP insurance practice group and the government relations group. She practices insurance law, emphasizing representation of insurance companies and health plans on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Her practice also includes government relations, focusing on public policy, legislative and administrative affairs, and ethics and state and Federal campaign finance law.
Representative Experience
Represents insurance companies in various legislative and regulatory matters
Represents trade associations of property and casualty, and life and health insurers before the Ohio General Assembly, the Ohio Department of Insurance, and other executive agencies of state government
Assists insurance companies in compliance matters, including state regulatory and HIPAA compliance
Assists life insurance companies in preparation for completion of the Insurance Market Standards Association assessment process; IMSA Qualified Associate Assessor
Represents trade association interests before the Ohio legislature, state agencies, and regulatory bodies
Assists corporations and non-profit entities compliance with public ethics, lobbying and state and Federal campaign finance laws
Assists political action committees with compliance with state and Federal campaign finance laws
Represents candidates, political action committees, political parties and school districts in matters before the Ohio Elections Commission
Served on the staffs of former Governor George Voinovich and former U.S. Senator Michael DeWine
