Exempts certain freestanding birthing centers from the requirement that a center obtain a health care facility license from the Director of Health and provides that there is no cause of action on a medical claim that because of an act or omission an abortion was not performed.

H.B. 257 - Nursing Home Vaccinations

Requires nursing homes and other homes for the elderly to offer residents vaccinations against influenza and pneumonia and requires hospitals to offer certain patients vaccinations against influenza and pneumonia.

H.B. 239 - Abortion
Sponsored by Representative Michelle Schneider (R-Cincinnati)

Prohibits the use of public funds or facilities for nontherapeutic abortions, proscribes public employees acting in the scope of their employment from performing or inducing a nontherapeutic abortion, and declares that it is the public policy of the state to prefer childbirth over abortion to the extent that is constitutionally permissible.
