The new address will be 50 W. Town Street, Third Floor – Suite 300, Columbus, OH 43215. All phone numbers remain the same.
February 2008
On February 1, 2008 the Ohio Department of Insurance issued a bulletin advising insurers, agents and continuing education providers of agent training, record keeping and
education requirements concerning long term care qualified partnership policies.
Last year, the Ohio General Assembly adopted provisions facilitating the implementation of an Ohio Long Term Care Partnership Program, which is intended to encourage individuals to purchase long term care insurance by allowing that individual to become Medicaid eligible without requiring that person to spend down all of his or her personal assets as long as that person has purchased a qualified long term care partnership policy. Ohio is authorized to establish a Partnership Program under the Deficit Reduction Act.
Statutory and regulatory provisions relating to Ohio's Long Term Care Partnership Program can be found in the Ohio Revised Code 3923.41 - .49 and the Ohio Administrative Code 3901-4-02.
