The State of Ohio Launches the “Save the Dream” Campaign in an Effort to Prevent Foreclosures

With foreclosure rates on the rise, the State of Ohio has created an extensive media and informational campaign to educate and assist Ohioans to avoid foreclosure.

The State has established a telephone hotline and website providing information on foreclosure resources, mortgage servicer contacts, alternatives of foreclosure, foreclosure basics, scams, and predatory lending practices. The website also provides information on pro bono legal services that may be available to qualifying Ohioans in danger of losing their homes.

The state has also launched a media campaign that placed a few hundred billboards in counties with the highest foreclosure rates to publicize the services and information available to residents that are threatened with foreclosure to encourage them to take action.
