Permitting and Regulatory Guidance

Bricker & Eckler is involved in the siting and permitting of environmentally sensitive facilities, such as commercial solid, infectious and hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities. Examples of this experience include obtaining the first new hazardous waste facility permit issued under Ohio’s hazardous waste facility siting law which was for a regional incineration and inorganic treatment facility; permits to install numerous solid waste facilities; and permits to install a regional medical waste incineration facility. In addition, the firm has provided environmental counsel for the development and operation of large industrial facilities throughout the state. 

As General Environmental Counsel for the Ohio Manufacturers Association (OMA), we meet regularly with permitting and regulatory authorities to provide input and analysis on regulatory and statutory revisions to the various environmental laws.
