Ohio Advanced Energy
Bricker & Eckler helped create and represents Ohio Advanced Energy, a statewide business trade
association advocating for the advanced and renewable energy technology industry.
Members represent
virtually the entire alternative energy
“business chain,” including manufacturers, suppliers and installers. Membership includes:
The Cleveland Foundation is the newest member and
increases the association's scope geographically, as well as broadens its focus to include advocating for policies that
significantly benefit wind power. The Cleveland Foundation has made wind power a top priority and is helping the
region assess the feasibility of offshore wind turbines in Lake Erie.
Currently, the association is developing and delivering its message to the
Ohio House of Representatives' newly created Alternative Energy Committee.
Recently Bricker & Eckler coordinated with the committee Chairman to conduct a “field hearing” in Wood County to
educate policymakers about Ohio’s potential to be a manufacturing hub of
alternative energy components such as solar panels, wind turbines, and coal gasification.
Bricker & Eckler is also helping the association with an advanced energy project at the Air Force's 180th
Fighter Wing base, working under the leadership of U.S. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur. We hope to be able to announce
a major project in the near future.
