James P. Schuck

Jim Schuck's ERISA experience includes representation of a large hospital against the plan, employer and third-party administrator in pursuing benefits for patient treatment. He has also represented a self-insured plan in a claim for disability benefits. His business litigation experience includes the successful defense of an action for indemnification and subrogation by an excess insurer against a primary insurer.

His prior class action experience includes successful defense of several TCPA class actions and defense of a class action seeking to recover allegedly overpaid insurance premium taxes in the state of Kentucky.

Jim previously served as Chairman of the Delaware County Republican Party and as the campaign chairman or treasurer for several political and judicial elected officials and candidates.

Before joining Bricker & Eckler, Jim served as a federal law clerk for Judge George C. Smith of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. During law school, Jim clerked in the Bank One legal department and interned for the Chief Legal Counsel of the Ohio Governor's Office.
