Biography

Nicki Hewell is an energy attorney with experience in the several stages of business development, including assisting start-up companies with corporate documents and reorganizations. Nicki’s practice focuses on oil and gas litigation, midstream transactional matters and title curative matters for public utilities and the telecommunications industry. Within the telecommunications industry, Nicki advises Ohio municipalities regarding ordinance drafting, ensuring the ordinances are compliant with federal and state micro-wireless regulations. Nicki also represents renewable energy companies before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). With extensive industry knowledge, Nicki creates tailored solutions to the energy issues that companies and municipalities face daily.

In addition to her energy practice, Nicki has significant bankruptcy experience, assisting in the representation of commercial debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 13 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. She also assists trustees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases.

Previously, Nicki served as an extern for Judge Gregory Frost in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and as a law clerk in the tax litigation division of the Indiana Attorney General’s Office.
