Tess G. Tannehill

Biography

Tess Tannehill’s practice focuses on advising clients on real property tax valuation, estates and trusts, and guardianship matters. Tess represents school districts in real property tax valuation disputes before Ohio courts and administrative bodies throughout the state, including county boards of revision, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, and the Ohio Supreme Court. Tess advises schools districts, hospitals, universities, foundations, and other charitable organizations on matters related to obtaining real property tax exemption and remission. Tess also advises hospitals, individuals, families, and fiduciaries on estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, and guardianship matters. While in law school, Tess served as an extern to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also previously served as an associate researcher at the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C.
