   Recruiting: 2007 Summer Clerk Class

 

Reem Aly has finished her first year of law school at The Ohio State University after receiving her undergraduate dual degrees cum laude in Psychology and International Relations also from OSU. While an undergraduate she was named to Phi Beta Kappa and was a Glenna Joyce Scholar. She was a founder and served as president of the Central Arab Student Alliance and interned with the Columbus Council on World Affairs from June 2005 to June 2006.

Meredith Brown attends the University of Cincinnnati where she will receive her law degree in 2008. She received a B.S in Accounting cum laude and Master of Accountancy, both from Ohio's Miami University. She is a CPA and has worked as an international tax consulting intern with Ernst & Young.

Lee Heckman will earn his J.D. from The Ohio State University in 2008 where he is the Managing Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and has won the Best Brief in the 2007 Sutherland Cup Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition held at Catholic University. He received his undergraduate degree in from Miami University with a B.S. in Education in Integrated Social Studies. Prior to starting law school, Lee was a history teacher at Granville High School.

Stephanie Jandik attends The Ohio State University where she will receive her J.D. in 2007. She is Managing Editor of the Entrepreneurial Business Law Journal and has served as the Executive Justice of Competition for the Moot Court Governing Board. She also holds an MBA from OSU and received her undergraduate degree in business from Ohio Northern University. She has been employed as a project manager with Qwest Communications.

Bart Keyes comes from The Ohio State University, where he will be receiving his J.D. in 2008. He will be Chief Managing Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal in the coming school year and is a Moritz scholarship recipient. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude in Political Science and Theater from Case Western Reserve University where he was president of and a performer with the IMPROVment comedy troupe and had roles in nine plays and musicials.

Rob McCarthy is a student at The Ohio State University where he will receive his law degree in 2008 and where he is an articles editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and a recipient of a Moritz scholarship. He received his undergraduate degree with honors in Government from Harvard University and served as President of the Harvard Institute of Politics. Rob's honor rated senior thesis was an analysis of DeRolph v. State. He has worked in state and national politics in five states, is a former member of the Worthington Parks and Recreation Board and a former student member of the Worthington Board of Education.

Nellie So currently attends Boston College, where she will be receiving her J.D. in 2008. She graduated from Wellesley College cum laude with a B.A. degree in Classical Civilization where she was a panelist at the 2002 Discoving the Ancient World in the Modern Mediterranean Tanner Conference. She worked as a legal intern in the Children & Family Law Program of the Boston-based Committee for Public Counsel Services and volunteered as a latin tutor and a tutor for teenage offenders and incarcerated women.

Breck Valentine attends Case Western Reserve Law School and Weatherhead School of Management with an expected graduation in 2008. She received her undergraduate degree in History from Wake Forest University. Breck was a member of the Case School of Law Mock Trial team and last year planned and led a group of 30 MBA students on a 16 day business-study to China.
