The U.S. Supreme Court’s October term has a number of cases that may impact higher education. This webinar will review the arguments in Students for Fair Admissions Inc. v. President & Fellows of Harvard College, No. 20-1199 and Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. University of North Carolina, No. 21-707, both of these cases are set for separate oral arguments in October 31, 2022 (Happy Halloween!).
This webinar will review these affirmative action cases in which the Supreme Court could determine whether to overrule Grutter v. Bollinger that hold that institutions of higher education can use race as a factor in admissions and whether Harvard violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act in its admissions process. Other cases include intellectual property cases and administrative agency cases which may transform the power of administrative agencies.
Join Josh Nolan and Jeff Knight for this webinar. In addition to the preview on the affirmative action cases, we will have a separate briefing after the decision is released at the end of the term.
