Former counsel for Ohio Department of Education joins Bricker
Immy Singh has joined Bricker & Eckler as an attorney in the firm’s Education Practice Group. She most recently served as Chief Legal Counsel for the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Serving as a legal advisor to the State Board of Education, the State Superintendent and ODE, Singh counseled these entities on statutory and regulatory matters. Coordinating with the Ohio Attorney General’s office, she managed all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, trial and settlement. Additional legal experience in this role included advice regarding COVID-19 school closures, implementation of legislative enactments, contract negotiations, public records, ethics and overseeing internal labor and employment matters.

Singh has provided effective legal counsel for more than 12 years in the public sector, with a specific focus on education law. She advises education leaders on a wide range of legal and policy issues and has broad experience working in collaboration with senior executives and government officials throughout the public sector.
