    Maria Armstrong discusses federal campaign finance during election season in Columbus Business First

    As the 2016 election season builds, companies, executives and employees who want to “make smart use of their political funds” should be aware of the rules and regulations that govern campaign contributions. Bricker Partner Maria Armstrong says that this process “starts with recognizing that those laws are complicated and there can be fines and even jail time for intentionally skirting them.” She adds that companies should be cautious “because the penalties can be high and so is the reputational risk of being on the wrong side of the line.”
