Bricker and City of Columbus host Crew SC tailgate

Firm News

Before Columbus Crew SC’s riveting defeat of Orlando City SC on July 21, 2018, Bricker teamed up with Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein to host a tailgate in honor of the #savethecrew movement. Held in the MAPFRE Stadium parking lot, the tailgate took place to “thank [Crew fans] for being so supportive of the city and so supportive of the Crew because we all stand together for the same cause,” as stated by Klein in a recent Columbus Dispatch article.

In early March, the City of Columbus partnered with Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine to file a lawsuit against Precourt Sports Ventures and Major League Soccer due to violations of the “Modell Law.” Bricker is providing pro bono legal counsel to the city in its effort to keep the Columbus Crew SC in Ohio. According to Klein, it is imperative to take the case “one step at a time,” as the lawsuit could continue for months.
