Firm News

Banking and Financial Services attorney Lindsay Oak was recently appointed to the board of directors at 1girl, where she will assist in furthering their mission.

1girl is a nonprofit organization that empowers middle school girls to develop the skills they will need to be successful through afterschool and summer programs centered around five core skills: public speaking, problem solving, critical thinking, goal setting and conflict resolution. 1girl has chapters nation-wide and their volunteer-led programs are facilitated by local high school and college women, allowing them to develop leadership skills through real world roles. As stated on their website, 1girl “provides leadership development to girls and women to help close the gender leadership gap,” with a special focus on strengthening leadership skills in girls in at-risk communities.
