Amy K. Riedel
Amy Riedel is a construction attorney who focuses on transactional and litigation matters for both public and private owners. Amy has worked on a wide range of construction projects for schools, libraries, municipalities, hotels and health care facilities, including renovations and new construction. She also assists with the municipal annexation, interpreting the Ohio Revised Code to provide proper documentation and notice.
Amy’s practice includes creating procurement and bidding documents for consultants, general contractor, construction manager at risk and design-build projects. She also prepares agreements and contract documents for construction. Amy has experience working with the complex requirements included in projects with Federal Funds and projects overseen by the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. During construction, she provides guidance on reviewing and responding to claims, change orders and mechanic’s liens.
Prior to joining Bricker, Amy served as an Officer in the Navy onboard USS Pearl Harbor and Assault Craft Unit Five. After leaving the Navy, Amy assisted professors with submitting grants to fund cancer research at Georgetown University Medical School. While in law school, she served as a judicial extern for Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor of the Supreme Court of Ohio. In addition, Amy was a Tillman Scholar and a Fellow for the Grassbaugh Veterans Project.
