Former captain of the Denison University men’s swim team, Carlos is a two-time NCAA national champion and a three-time Academic All-American.
Carlos Maciel is an asset to the firm’s Public Finance team, aiding attorneys, paralegals and staff members with financial and strategic analysis. His experience includes advanced econometric modeling, statistical software, data management, academic research and financial modeling.
Carlos was previously a risk analyst and custom underwriter for a global financial services firm, where he served as the subject matter specialist for international mortgages, onshore and offshore loans, operational companies and hard assets.
Carlos is fluent in Portuguese and also manages a successful economics blog.

Continuing his love for swimming, Carlos currently coaches the sport at Grandview Heights High School.
