Karen L. Clouse

Karen Clouse has counseled physicians, hospitals and attorneys throughout central and southeastern Ohio. In that role, she represents physicians and hospitals at all stages of a medical negligence claim, from investigation, through depositions, and trial, with more than three decades of experience of the courtroom, defending her clients in jury trials. In addition, Karen is an experienced appellate attorney, having argued cases before appellate courts throughout the state of Ohio as well as the Ohio Supreme Court and West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. She also provides a variety of other litigation support services to hospitals and physicians throughout the state, with her goal always to meet the personal and professional needs of her clients while providing excellent legal representation.


  • Important law for Ohio hospitals and practitioners

    Successfully argued before the Ohio Supreme Court, establishing that the statute of repose bars medical claims not filed within four years of the time the care was provided. 

  • Appellate appearances

    Have appeared in the highest courts in Ohio and West Virginia, as well as intermediate appellate districts throughout Ohio.

  • Jury trials

    Defended hospitals, nurses, physicians and other medical providers against medical negligence and wrongful death claims in various Ohio courtrooms.
