    North American universities to share internal findings; hope to curb repeat sexual harassment occurrences

    Melissa Carleton was interviewed for a Times Higher Ed article that reported a number of North America’s top “research universities” pledged to share their investigation findings in an effort to thwart those accused of sexual harassment from avoiding sanctions and becoming repeat offenders at another institution.

    The article reports that leaders from “the 66-member Association of American Universities agreed to pursue that goal by developing employment contract language on their campuses” to allow cooperation. Carleton noted that policies such as this would be “groundbreaking” in higher education in the United States. Read the full article here.
