Nicholas W. Lanphear

Nick Lanphear is an employment attorney with a diverse background that includes workers’ compensation and traditional labor law. Throughout his career, he has assisted clients — especially those at the management level — in understanding the intricacies of employment law through his in-depth knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

For several years, Nick has represented clients before state and federal courts including depositions, motions and mediation/settlement situations. Specifically, he has worked on cases involving the FLSA, OSHA whistleblowers, class and collective actions, the ADA, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, discrimination and the National Labor Relations Act. Nick’s experience also includes representing management in administrative proceedings before the EEOC, OCRC, NLRB and Industrial Commission.

Understanding the importance of early case evaluation and client objectives, Nick is able to provide effective solutions to a variety of employment needs.
