Cleveland Lakefront rendering

Bricker & Eckler recently served as bond counsel to an Ohio port authority in the financing of the construction of a residential and commercial mixed-use building located along Cleveland’s lakefront. The building, which will accommodate 16 upscale residential rental units, a parking garage and retail tenants, is located next to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Great Lakes Science Center and FirstEnergy Stadium. $3.6 million in bonds issued to pay the costs of energy efficiency measures to achieve LEED certification will be secured and repaid using the PACE financing tool. A portion of those bonds were issued as “qualified energy conservation bonds.”
