On September 21, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a new feature on Medicare.gov that makes vaccination data available in a user-friendly format so the public can make informed decisions when choosing a nursing home for themselves or a loved one. The data will continue to be used by CMS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to monitor vaccine uptake among residents and staff and identify those facilities that may need additional resources and support.
