Sexualized Hazing and Title IX (Free Title IX In Focus Webinar Series)
Sexualized hazing can present fast-moving, high-risk situations that implicate multiple compliance lanes at once—often involving alcohol consumption, humiliation, and sex acts—requiring careful coordination between hazing policies, student organization misconduct processes, state hazing laws, and Title IX obligations. This session will highlight practical strategies for triage and investigation planning (including interim steps and role clarity), defensible documentation, and how to navigate related reporting and transparency requirements.
This session is pending approval by the Minimum Continuing Legal Education Board of the Supreme Court of Illinois and the Commission on Continuing Legal Education for the Ohio Supreme Court for 1.0 total CLE hours of instruction.

Bricker Graydon Wyatt’s Title IX In Focus Free Webinar Series focuses on issues related to sexual misconduct, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. This series is aimed at helping colleges and universities comply with annual training requirements under the Illinois Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act (110 ILCS 155/1 et seq.) and the Clery Act (34 CFR § 668.46), in addition to ensuring ongoing discussions about practical strategies, legal updates, and trauma-informed practices.
Running from August 2026 through May 2027, each webinar will be presented by a member of Bricker Graydon Wyatt’s Higher Education team, and may feature guest speakers from our network of university partners, key government agencies, and seasoned professionals in the field of sexual misconduct and relationship violence.
Although we had our Illinois friends in mind when developing this series, it is open to anyone employed by a college or university.
