Overview

Ken Fisher is a construction attorney and Registered Architect with more than three decades of experience advising owners, contractors, design professionals, and suppliers on complex, high-profile projects. He delivers strategic, business-focused counsel that balances legal risk, organizational priorities, industry best practices, and real-world market conditions.

Ken’s transactional work includes drafting and leading negotiations for a wide range of construction and professional services contracts, including EPC/EPCM, design-build, construction manager (constructor and advisor), single- and multiple-prime contractor, architect-engineer, trade, and equipment design, fabrication, and supply contracts. He has also developed sophisticated contracting frameworks for multi-billion-dollar projects and led cross-functional teams of subject-matter experts in crafting procurement policies, proprietary solicitation and front-end documents, contract templates, risk-management protocols, controlled insurance programs, and other tailored strategies for both public and private entities.

During construction, Ken often serves as project counsel providing pragmatic, candid advice to keep work progressing by mitigating risk, navigating change processes, and efficiently resolving claims.  He has also successfully managed multi-million-dollar construction litigation, and is known for serving as a neutral facilitator, helping stakeholders align competing interests and reach practical, collaborative solutions.

His experience covers a broad array of project types, including civic, cultural, professional sports, educational, institutional, hospitality, utilities, infrastructure, transportation, energy (fossil and renewable power generation and transmission), manufacturing, pharmaceutical, commercial, and multi-family developments.

Recognized for his contributions to the field, Ken has been ranked among leading construction lawyers in Chambers USA and holds an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a frequent lecturer and published author on construction law topics.
